Any other old lady geeks out there?

I think the stereotype of a geek who spends days in front of the screen implies that said geek also forgets to eat. That does not apply to those of us who have the responsibility of cooking full meals for family members.

Also, in one wild moment, I decided outside employment would force me to get the blood pumping, interact with humans, and maybe have me running around enough to shed some of this excess poundage. But did I seek employment stacking weights at the local spa? Unloading freight at the local cement plant? Chasing and lifting miscreants at the neighborhood day care?

NO, no nooo, no.

I found gainful employment at a deli.

Sure, I do have to stand while I am there. And it is a health food deli, with no high corn syrup and with lots of guilt free and organic healthy foods and natural sweetners in the organc chocolate cake.

The ten pounds I have gained are very healthy pounds.
