After all it is only a computer. Not a very good one, either, it is much older than what most people would call serviceable. The screen was scratched pretty bad when I first got it. I am all the time waiting for it to do something or other.
It is still one of the coolest things I ever owned.
I mean, the thing is tiny. It was too cool just to pick up and move over there. Balance it and the cat on my knee when I watched TV. Check my email at the coffee shop.
I guess I wore it out. It looks like the connector to the left mouse button is just gone. I could get it repaired, but it seems the money would be better spent on something more modern. The end of an era.
Funny thing is, computers like it are selling for the same price I paid for this one. Current versions sell for what I might pay for an automobile.
I mourn the loss of my friend.
wait! they don't love you like i love you! wait....
hey, anti! don't set that poor guy aside just yet! i can find a new touchpad/mouse/etc. for you!
promise!
Surprisingly enough
I can get a slightly better laptop like this for about the price of a keyboard. And I don't think the keyboard is the problem anyway.
I have kinda worn the letters off, though.
I'd go crazy if I lost my
I'd go crazy if I lost my best friend too....
I feel ya
Thanks,
Hey, it could have been worse, right? Hard drive is still good.
It's hard not to get
It's hard not to get attached to your computer. In fact, the same applies to any inanimate object you spend a lot of time with.
It's true
I've grown accustomed to your (inter)face.
Time to move on, for better or worse. Who knows what the future may bring.
so sad!
But.. in the long run, you may be soooo happy to get a new laptop. I went without any (pc or lt) for about a year and finally caved again.. wow.. love it.
Of Course You Are Right
I went ahead and bought what I could afford to replace it on such short notice. Of course that was a desktop. I am looking forward to getting another laptop someday, but I will be fine until then.
I have and could again go without a TV and a phone, but I am very happy that I don't have to be computerless right now.
